We continue what we started to do last week in today’s article – and that is writing articles about conferences we are going to or we have heard about. First and foremost I would like to remind you of the hashtag we have created for this section of our blog in particular – #webcrumbzevents – this is where you can tweet us to let us know about an event you would love to read about here.

This being said, let’s focus on today’s topic. This is an event that is taking place in Romania, in Brasov to be more precise and it gathers both technical and non-technical people for 4 whole days – from 25th of May to 28th of May. The event is called Festivalul de Internet de la Brasov (Brasov Internet Festival) and it is dedicated to the geeks and non-geek in the same way. :)

It consists of a total of 6 events both paid as well as free and we will actually speak at some of them. GeekMeet, the first one in the row, on the 25th of May, will put Brasov face to face with the Geeks al around the globe. People like Bogdan Iordache (Wembrio), Stefan Petre (Iubescbrasovul.ro), Claudiu Gamulescu (underclick.ro), Mihai Geza (NU Games) or Ozgur Yuksel (LMS) will be there speaking to you and, for one straight-up day, they will connect, network and talk like never before; the main subject remaining technical stuff. (P.S. Can’t wait to see two Geeks argue over some technical stuff I don’t understand!)

Did I mention we will talk at this event? In fact, Ciprian will be the one talking, I will be the one making funny faces at him from the first row, but I am sure that we will both find interesting subjects of debate and more interesting people to discuss them with, in our area of expertise. Can’t wait to get there!

Another interesting event there is Arena Ursilor (Bear’s Arena) – it has a funny name, but it’s more serious than you can imagine. Basically it is one of the most concentrated start-up accelerators I have ever heard of, which makes it harder to run and more gratifying to win!

So, on the 27th of Mays, ARO Palace in Brasov will be on fire! All you need to do is be innovative, think of a project, bring it there – you will have support, expert consultants and connections with European contests like this one. Good web projects can receive finance of up to Euro 15.000/venue.

You can see the rest of the schedule for this big Internet festival in the poster below and if you have any questions you can write them here and we’ll make sure the right guys get them and answer them.

But the best thing about this festival in yet to come. Because we want to have all our friends and blogger-friends and non-blogger-friends and everyone-who-wants-to-come there with us, we offer you a deal. If you want to join us at Festivalul de Internet de la Brasov we give you the possibility to do so at 20% off the price. Moreover, if you register before the 1st of May, the initial price is only 150 RON! You can get one voucher from us by dropping us a comment on this article. The name you give us must be your real one and the email as well, since the badge that you will have will have your name and the email will be used to send you the promotion code.

All these being said, we want to thank Claudiu Gamulescu for inviting us to this event and for bearing with our busy schedule and late replies.

See you in Brasov!
